Sparkle Swap

Sparkle Swap is a match-3 gem puzzle on an 8 by 8 board. It plays in your browser on a phone or a PC, with nothing to download.

Swap two neighbouring gems to line up three or more of the same kind and they pop, letting new gems fall in and sometimes set off chain reactions. Each of the six gem types has its own shape as well as its own colour.

Every level gives you a limited number of moves and a target score. Reach it to clear the level and earn up to three stars. From level 6, some levels add a second goal: clear a set number of gems of one colour. Match four in a row to make a line blaster that wipes a row or column. An L or T shape makes a bomb that clears the 3 by 3 around it, and five in a row makes a colour burst that clears every gem of one colour. Your level is saved on your device. If you pause for a few seconds, a hint shows a good swap.

Tips: look for four and five matches before settling for three, and plan swaps near the bottom first, since falling gems can set up free cascades.
