Flag Sweep

Flag Sweep is a friendly take on the classic minesweeper puzzle. Dig up every safe tile on the grid, use the numbers to work out where the mines are, and plant flags on the dangerous ones. It runs in your browser on a phone or a PC, with no download.

Tap a tile to dig it. To plant a flag, press and hold a tile, right-click on a PC, or switch on the Flag button and then tap. Each number tells you how many mines touch that tile, which is the clue you need to figure out the tiles around it. Your first tap is always safe and opens up some of the board. If you dig a mine, you lose a heart rather than the whole game, and you have 3 hearts, so one slip is not the end.

There are three difficulties. Easy is a 6 by 6 grid with 5 mines, Medium is 7 by 7 with 8 mines, and Hard is 8 by 8 with 12 mines.

Tips: start by looking for a 1 with only one hidden neighbour, since that tile must be a mine. Flag the mines you are sure about so you can see what is left.
