Space Blast

Space Blast is a free side-scrolling space shooter that takes you across the real solar system. An alien fleet is racing to the Sun to steal its energy, and you chase it all the way in. You start at Pluto, the icy dwarf planet at the edge, then fly past Neptune, Uranus, Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, Earth, Venus and Mercury, before the final fight at the Sun itself. Every stop has its own look and its own danger: fast attackers in the winds of Neptune, chunks of ice and rock around Saturn, turrets on the red hills of Mars, and thick yellow clouds on Venus. Each level ends with a boss, and each win shows a short, true fact about the place you just reached. How to play: your ship fires by itself, so all you do is move and dodge. Drag on a phone, or use the arrow keys or mouse on a computer. Collect bolts from the enemies you destroy and spend them in the hangar on a stronger blaster, more hull, a faster engine, a bolt magnet and more special ammo. Pick up missiles, the mega beam and the shield wall, and save them for the bosses. Tip: take at most one hit and destroy most of the enemies to earn all three stars. It runs in your browser with nothing to download.
