Rhythm Tap Beats

Rhythm Tap Beats is a four-lane rhythm game. Notes fall towards four pads, and you tap each one as it lands on the pad. It runs in your browser on a phone or a PC, with nothing to download.

Every note you hit plays the next note of the tune, over a backing beat. On a phone, tap the pads. On a PC, use D, F, J and K, or the arrow keys. Long notes need to be held until they end, and some notes come in pairs, so you tap two pads together.

There are 15 songs, running from 92 to 162 BPM, and the later ones are faster and harder. Build up a combo for a bigger multiplier, but watch the energy bar: too many misses drain it and end the song early. At the end of each song you earn up to three stars for your accuracy, with two stars at 82 percent and three at 93 percent. Finish a song to unlock the next. If the notes feel late, the Sync setting lets you shift the timing. Your stars and best scores are saved on your device.

Tips: watch the notes, not the pads, keep your fingers relaxed, and use Sync if you keep hitting just early or late.
